Charmin "Snowball"

2003 Acme Filmworks

Director, Animator - Claire Armstrong Parod

Art Director - Joel Parod

My wife, Claire, was hand-picked by award winning animator/director Joanna Quinn, the creator of these fuzzy characters, to direct and animate a series of 2D international Charmin Bear commercials. I joined Acme Filmworks later to art direct and paint the BGs and animation color styling on the last three of them, and this one is my favorite. These beautifully hand drawn characters are full of appeal, something that was lost when Charmin went in a different direction with CG.
